Aligned Vision Laser Projection Systems

Pioneers | investigators | collaborators | empowerers | innovators

Aligned Vision’s Laser Projection Systems are setting the new standard in laser templating by combining a camera with the laser to provide a vision system to monitor and verify ply orientation, perform FOD detection and verify ply boundaries.

Aligned Vision Laser Projection Systems

Leverage the power of your design and engineering data onto the manufacturing floor. Then generate vital as-built data to feed closed-loop, continuous improvements across your operations. Aligned Vision technologies join virtual and real production, helping you:

  • Build components that match your designs
  • Fabricate according to the processes your engineers plan
  • Optimize fabrication quality and speed
  • Automatically generate accurate as-built data
  • Feed Deep Learning systems for manufacturing insights and improvements

Aligned Vision systems operate as digital point solutions with immediate out-of-the-box standalone benefits, and as building blocks of tomorrow’s Digital Factory.

WITH ANY LASERGUIDE SYSTEM, YOU WILL:

  • Need fewer projectors, controllers and setup activities than with any other laser system
  • Project up to 4 jobs per projector, keeping 4 teams adding value, with our Multitasking feature
  • Enjoy the safest, brightest laser — the only CDRH Class II/IEC Class 2 laser in the industry
  • Keep operators working on fabrication — instead of projectors — with our industry-leading reliability
Accurately guide multiple tasks anywhere in the workcell

  • Best-in-class laser projection range and accuracy
  • The only full selection of projectors in the industry, from long throw (up to 50 ft) to confined spaces (microLASERGUIDE)
Enhance operator efficiency and accuracy

  • Multitasking system projects to 4 jobs, keeping 4 teams adding value
  • Automatic alignment and continuous checks eliminate operator set-up tasks
  • Automatic alignment accommodates ergonomic tool repositioning
Boost equipment productivity — and safety

  • The only CDRH Class II/IEC Class 2 laser in the industry — safest available
  • Fewer projectors, controllers and setup activities needed than with any other laser system
  • Highly reliable projectors keep operators adding value – instead of working on the projectors

LASERGUIDE is the easiest to use, most flexible, powerful laser projection system available. Whether it is used in an aerospace or a marine application, for composite layup or fixture location, LASERGUIDE saves time, improves accuracy and provides rapid return on investment. LASERGUIDE systems require fewer projectors, controllers, and operator setup activities than any other laser system available.

Laser Templating Tools with Vision

Integrating machine vision with proven industrial laser projection, LASERVISION brings automatic inspection to composites fabrication.

BOOSTING FIRST PASS QUALITY AND THROUGHPUT, LASERVISION:

  • Minimizes idle time—automatically performs an inspection when the electronic recipe calls for it
  • Eliminates inspector wait time—conducts inspections in seconds with no operator intervention
  • Optimizes inspection quality—uses machine vision, eliminating human distraction, fatigue and verification bias
  • Markedly reduces rework and scrapping—verifies attributes in real time and flags FOD, misaligned plies, excessive shear or other flaws for immediate correction
  • Automatically populates electronic documentation and generates the as-built Digital Twin, including
    • Calibrated images of every ply surface
    • Any non-conformances
    • Any corrective actions

A single seat of LASERGUIDE software provides functions that would require many seats and setups of software from other laser suppliers.
LASERGUIDE software supports unique capabilities that reduce the time, skill and effort required to accurately and efficiently manufacture parts.
Full Multitasking capabilities.
LASERGUIDE’s unique Multitasking capability enables one controller to support multiple LASERGUIDE projectors performing multiple jobs at the same time. Each individual projector displays multiple simultaneous jobs. Each job is controlled by an individual remote control.
Lowest cost for hardware and software.  The only laser system supporting inspection functions approved by FAA and DoD.
LASERGUIDE software works with LASERGUIDE and MicroLASERGUIDE projectors, and it is backwards compatible with older generation projectors.  The software is able to use standard Virtek ply files without any modification. Aligned Vision still supports EVERY laser projector they have in service.
LASERGUIDE can read any 3D point data. Existing laser projection files from other systems are easily and automatically converted into LASERGUIDE projection files. Aligned Vision provides custom modifications and configurations when desired.
